Infant & Toddler Program
From the moment Children are born they exhibit an awareness of the world around them. Our loving and nurturing staff introduces babies to sights and sounds through verbal interaction, visual stimulation and the sensation of touch, toys and manipulative.
Our teachers are CPR certified and fully trained in child development. We place great emphasis on parent communication and provide a daily summary of your child’s accomplishments.
At the toddler stage, children will begin to learn the basic colors, shapes, numbers, and letters. This is taught through creative outlets such as arts and crafts activities, as well as repetitive rhymes and stories. Children learn through play and active exploration in the learning centers. Safe play and structures and toys encourage small and large motor skills, independence and self-confidence. Your toddler will learn to share with and care for others as he/she develops socialization skill and manners.
Preschool Curriculum
Our Preschool Program encourages growth and learning through:

Before and Aftercare
Carden Dominion offers a before and after-school program for Kindergarten through First-grade children. This program is run by a credentialed Elementary Teacher who works individually on homework, time management, organization, and social skills. Emphasis is placed on encouraging positive self-esteem, developing independence and meeting the child's mental, physical and emotional needs. We are open during winter and spring breaks. We drop-off or pick-up your child from Alta Vista school. Our hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Summer Day Camp
Carden Dominion School offers a Summer Program that is a combination of Academic Enrichment and Recreational Activities.
Our Summer Schedule includes:

- Visits to Local Parks
- Arts and Crafts

- Music
- Nature Studies
Field Trips to places such as Kid’s Concepts Cabrillo Beach, Long Beach Aquarium, Seaside Lagoon, and the Children’s Museum are also a fun part of our summer schedule.
